Food a universal language that connects people no matter who you are or where you are from.

Yes! its about food food food… YAY!

Today since its food.
I would love to share a simple yet the yummiest food recipe of south India though I’m not a food blogger.

Yet I couldn’t resist myself from spreading this recipe.
Because I’m a super big fan of DOSA ❤

For those of you who are confused with the term “Dosa”.
Dosa is a type of pancake from the Indian subcontinent, made from a fermented batter which is kind of similar to the crepe.

Recipe
For the batter:
2 cups rice
1 cup urad dal
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
oil as required

How to make plain dosa:

Soak rice, dal and fenugreek for 6 hours.
Then grind them to a fine thin batter by adding little water.
Add salt to it and leave it covered for 12 hours for fermentation.
Now heat a non-stick pan and spread 1 tbsp of the batter on the whole of the pan.
Grease all the corners and then cook it on the other side also.
Sprinkle little water on the pan and wipe it with a clean cloth before making each dosa.
Serve them hot with sambhar and chutney.

Go on try it and let me know if you are fan of Dosa too…

#4 – Dancing

Dancing with the feet is one thing but dancing with the heart is another…

Dancing necessarily doesn’t mean moving the leg or shaking your body. It can also mean a transition between two pairs of eyes.

I had already mentioned in my previous post what one train journey could do…

This is one such post where the dance didn’t happen by the tapping of the feet nor by playing the music loud. It can simply be between two pairs of beautiful eyes.

Go on and read…

A short poem on one such amazing travel.

The shifting and searching
While the Heartbeats were racing
Peeking through the congested crowd
trying to find the deep brown glossy glaze
And when the darting eyes met the flashy ones
A beautiful dance began in the crowded train
Made it worth traveling in a million ways…

A lot can happen in one train journey.

The Vessel: Write about a ship or other vehicle that can take you somewhere different from where you are now.

“There’s something about the sound of a train that’s very romantic and nostalgic and hopeful”

It is beautiful yet somehow fascinating to travel on a train. Of course, it isn’t fancier like the airplanes that fly high or the ships that sail deep.
Its steep, narrow, compartmented just like most of us. The more you travel on it the more you get to enjoy it. Just like people, the more you talk and spend the time they reveal more and you naturally connect with them.

Train travels are similar to life. They sometimes pass through dark tunnels, not one or two but seldom quite a few to reach some destination. When we did know and were so sure that these few dark tunnels take us to our destination why is it we blame life when it throws in a few dark tunnels why aren’t we sure that it will eventually lead us to the light?

Another interesting thing about the train journeys is you get to meet interesting people get to hear different stories and different versions of opinions. Traveling by train doesn’t make you feel jetlagged or seasick They aren’t short trips and mostly not that expensive. Well, of course, there are ones that are expensive and still would give you the most to remember.

Traveling in train makes you fall in love with traveling, admire the landscapes that quietly pass by and drinking some steaming cup of coffee or chai that those busy vendors sell compartment by compartment with a lot of patience.

For some, it can be an inevitable journey
some might even fall in love at first sight,
while some try to forget the one they loved
For some, it might be the journey of a lifetime
and some might be taking their important decisions of life
while some might be escaping from their busy monotonous world

And that’s what makes it a travel worth for many years to come
Seemingly I have met some beautiful and strange people in amazing short and long train journeys which hold memories worth for a lifetime.

Do let me know what is your favorite mode of travel???

#2 – The Unrequited love poem

What’s meant to be will always find its way

Always…

Have you ever fell in love and been a loss for words or has it been the opposite?

A mix of Love with words have always been a lethal combination.

And for day 2 here is my mix 🙂

When I walked into the room

Crowded with people and sound

I found a pair of eyes

That froze me to the ground

You just struck me

Right through the core

In every curve and every pound

You ignited the fire

That made me simply burn

I was instantly in paradise

And couldn’t find the path to return

You were all that I wanted

You are all that I need

To be forever in love with you

Is how powerful love can be…

#1 – Outside the Window
(Tip for you to inspire and write: What’s the weather outside your window doing right now? If that’s not stimulating, what’s the weather like somewhere you wish you could be?)

Have you seen through the iron rods your gaze shifting on the glass pane and out through the window?

When your mind is a crowded marketplace and your heart is filled with chaos. When things are not easy to do or the path seems unclear. When the world seems tough to handle or when choices are not easy to be made. When you wish you never grew up or when you feel the weight of your shoulders push you down. When running seems the only choice or when escaping into a fantasy seems the solution. When expectations are more than giving could be. When the situations are daunting or when the circumstances ask for more…

All you have to do is
Look out through the Window…

“Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the faucet is turned on”.

When I told myself that I’m all set to take up a challenge for 365 days  in writing.
I had this small voice asking me tiny little questions like “Will it be interesting? Will I post every day? Will I make time for it?” and so on…
But I just pushed aside all those questions and am going to give it a shot.

For the upcoming 365 creative prompts I will be posting stories, poems, heart aches, something that happened or that I came across, or may be something about life…

It simply can be anything…

If anyone out there wishes to take up this challenge, you are more than welcome and trust me it is completely FUN!

Just don’t forget to leave your link in the comment section. I would love to read them

There is no winner or loser… It’s just about being consistent

Do leave your comments below
